Work: Kyle Cooper

Kyle Cooper can be solely credited for re-establishing the art of beautiful opening/end credits of films. He founded the two film design companies- Imaginary forces and Prologue. Heavily inspired by the opening title of Stefen Frankfurt’s ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’, he has directed about 150 film title sequences. Even if the film doesn’t turn out to be very impressive, the Kyle Cooper title will not fail to catch one’s attention. Every cut, every shift and transition, every letter materializing, is done with precision and with impeccable attention to detail. He has crafted the titles for some of the best directors, films, logo animations and events, including Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes and Rocknrolla, the ‘Being for the benefit for Mr Kite’ sequence in Across the Universe, the opening for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards,  the Marvel Comics flip animation, to name a few.

India first met Kyle Cooper at the ’07 Kyoorius Designyatra and got a glimpse of his work there and he has since continued to produce some brilliant work. This year’s Designyatra will have a notable name from Imaginary Forces so watch out for this space, our Facebook page and  follow us on Twitter for further updates.

Here is some of Cooper’s work:
